Dermot Corr

Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors

I established my firm in June 2014 on Main Street, Randalstown. I am a native of Randalstown and spent 17 years working for some of the leading accounting firms in Northern Ireland. I attended the local primary school in Randalstown before moving to Saint Louis Grammar School in Ballymena. I graduated with B.Sc (Accounting) from Queens University Belfast in 1997 and subsequently commenced my Training Contract with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

My Training Contract was with DT Carson and Company, one of the largest accounting firms in Ballymena. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was admitted as an Associate to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland in 2002 and spent 4 further years with ASM Horwath in Magherafelt before joining Flannigan Edmonds Bannon in Belfast, where I spent 8 years as manager servicing a large and varied client base from all over Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK.

Years experience

The firm is built on the following philosophies;

Every client is my firm’s most important client

Every client deserves and receives 100% attention

D. C. Corr and Company is a professional firm providing the exceptional services you would expect from a member firm of Chartered Accountants Ireland. I’m acting as sole principal in the firm and I have some qualified associates who help with accounts preparation where required.

I have an extensive network of contacts built up over the years – if I can’t help I generally know someone who can.

I have over 18 years experience working with businesses in all sectors. From business start ups to long established businesses in areas such as; Property development, manufacturing, software development, retail, solicitors, recruitment, children’s nurseries, restaurants, the licenced trade, hair salons and farming.
I pride myself on my approachability and the personal touch. There is no such thing as a silly question. Each client deserves and receives 100% attention.
Better business decisions are made with up to date and accurate financial information. My clients are benefiting from monthly and quarterly management accounts which I prepare for them 3 weeks after the month or quarter end. Having this timely and reliable information is more beneficial than waiting almost a full year to find out how your business has performed.
Up to date and accurate financial information is a prerequisite to negotiating new or additional bank facilities.
I specialise in this type of service for a number of my current clients who are more than happy with the service they receive.
